Warranty Policy

Last updated on 25/03/2024

Our warranty policy provides coverage for products purchased from Zalomi, ensuring quality and reliability. It details the duration, coverage, and process for warranty claims, offering you peace of mind with your purchase.

1. Warranty Policy for Pre-Owned Products

We offer a comprehensive warranty for qualifying pre-owned products purchased from Zalomi. Please note that this warranty applies exclusively to the pre-owned product itself and does not extend to any complimentary accessories that may have been provided.

2. Warranty Coverage

Our warranty covers hardware issues, manufacturing defects, and power-related problems, excluding those caused by power surges or electrical spikes. Pre-owned products are protected under a parts and labor warranty or a buffer exchange warranty. Zalomi's policy is to repair or replace products that experience failure during normal and proper use within the warranty period. We use pre-owned or compatible replacement parts that offer equivalent performance and reliability. The warranty also includes coverage for internal parts, which are not user-replaceable.
The warranty period begins on the date of retail purchase by the customer ("Warranty Period"). During this time, Zalomi guarantees that the product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship.

3. Warranty Service

If a hardware defect arises and a valid claim is submitted within the Warranty Period, Zalomi will, at its discretion:
Repair the defect at no charge using new, pre-owned, or compatible replacement parts;
Exchange the product with another pre-owned product of equivalent value; or
Provide a full or partial refund to the customer, according to Zalomi’s prevailing depreciation rules, which will serve as a commercial solution in lieu of repairs.
Any replacement part or product becomes the property of the customer upon exchange, while the replaced item becomes the property of Zalomi. This warranty is applicable only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

4. Warranty Duration and Service Procedures

This warranty covers defects in workmanship and materials for a period of twelve (12) months or one year from the date of purchase. The warranty period is not extended or renewed if the product requires repair or replacement. It remains in effect throughout the time spent in transit or undergoing repair.

Warranty repairs are performed on a "Carry-in" basis. Customers are responsible for sending the product to our service center for assessment and service. Transportation costs and shipping charges are not covered under the warranty and are the customer's responsibility.

5. Exclusions and Limitations of Liability

This warranty does not cover the following conditions, as determined by Zalomi's service center personnel:

Normal wear and tear, including natural degradation of battery performance.
Damage due to accidents, exposure to moisture, dirt, sand, improper storage, misuse, neglect, or physical stress.
Cosmetic damage or damage resulting from excessive force on the display screen.
Damage caused by malware, spyware, or virus infections.

Any tampering with the official warranty stickers of Zalomi.
Unauthorized modifications to the product without written consent from Zalomi.

The customer must remove screen protectors before sending the product for service to ensure proper service.

The warranty also excludes liability for software or data loss that may occur during the repair or replacement process. Customers are responsible for backing up all personal data before sending the product for service.

6. Pre-Owned Return Merchandise Authorization Service Terms

During the Limited Warranty Period, Zalomi reserves the right to repair or replace any defective component at its sole discretion. All parts or modules removed during this period become the property of Zalomi. This Limited Warranty constitutes the complete and exclusive warranty agreement between the customer and Zalomi, superseding any prior agreements or representations.

7. Service Requirements

Upon receiving your product, Zalomi will verify the validity of your warranty and your request for service. Neither Zalomi, its service centers, authorized service providers are responsible for any confidential, proprietary, or personal information left in the product. Customers should remove all such information before returning the product. Zalomi is not liable for damage or loss of personal data, programs, or removable storage media, nor for the restoration or reinstallation of any data or programs other than the software installed by Zalomi at the time of manufacture.
